Hike in Malbun and Steg

Malbun is an ideal destination for hiking, offering a variety of well-marked trails that traverse stunning alpine landscapes and provide breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Please take into consideration that you are hiking in the Alps. Wear appropriate shoes, bring a jacket and use sunscreen. If you go on a longer hike, bring water and a snack. Check the weather forecast and leave rather earlier in the day than later. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

Sareis (Malbun)

Take the cable car from Malbun to Sareis and enjoy the breathtaking view from the mountain restaurant Sareis. You can walk down the hiking path back to the village (45 min) or take the cable car back down. Sareis is also the starting point for longer and more difficult hikes, e. g. Fürstin-Gina-Weg.
